Single—All Night

Surely we can dance all night, right? Charlotte’s own Nia Rachelle delivers a romantic record for the summer that conveys an appreciation of sharing time and space with someone you’ve connected with instantly. While the contents of the song are widely relatable, the backstory is a special one to Nia. She recalls finding inspiration for “All Night” after catching a Lucky Daye show, and running into him in a nearby studio later that night as he created new music with his band. Watching Lucky’s creative process inspired a new artistry in Nia and this record is a result of that.

There’s a lot to love about All Night, as it hits all the right notes for an R&B record but there’s a little extra love in order for the use of the talk box. It feels like a forgotten ingredient in the genre, so I commend those that not only pay homage but understand how to apply it seamlessly. Nia, you did just that.
